Kudos team, let's keep the good reviews coming!

Cars-logo-big

"Just bought another new car in less than 4 months and the experience was even better than the best. The finance person did most of the work to get us a loan, at a great rate. And our salesperson did an amazing job getting us out of the dealer as fast as possible. We have 3 kids we brought with us and they had a play room to stay in entertained for most of the time." - mutfamily.

This week's car care tip: Shine those car lights

Toyota_headlight

Do your headlights look foggy now? Do those once crystal clear headlights now look like waxed paper is covering them? Once you have realized that you are not getting enough clear vision at night, you know it's time to clean your headlights.

Keep your headlights polished (and yourself, safe) by applying window cleaner and rubbing vigorously with an old pair of panty hose.

Toyota Has Been Honored with the “Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow 2011" Based on the AuraPortal BPM Suite

Toyota-logo

AuraPortal (www.auraportal.com), recently distinguished by Ovum in the Decision Matrix 2011 report as the most highly rated BPMS in the international market, has announced that the WfMC (Workflow Management Coalition) has honored Toyota Spain for its successful implementation of the “Environmental Management System ISO 14001” in the automobile company’s Official Dealers Network, supported on the AuraPortal BPMS Platform.

Sponsored by WfMC with media support from BPM.com and now in their 19th year, these prestigious awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated excellence when implementing innovative business process solutions to meet strategic business objectives.

The solution developed by AUREN (Partner of AuraPortal), has allowed Toyota Spain to implement an effectively managed environmental system which improves environmental practices in every center, as well as ensuring that legal obligations are met. This is all achieved using only the strictly necessary human resources, both of Toyota Spain and of its distributors, thus optimizing economical resources.

For Karl Van Dijck, Director of Corporate Affairs at Toyota Spain, "The implementation of a software tool such as GEA-TOYOTA, based on the AuraPortal BPMS, has made it possible to centralize a major part of the work and therefore maintain the same criteria between the many dealers located throughout the Spanish territory".

2013 Scion FR-S Sports Car Hits Dealerships Nationwide

Dt

Scion announced that its 2013 FR-S rear-wheel drive sports car is available in dealerships nationwide. The high-performance coupe is the fifth model to join the Scion family and serves as the halo car for the brand.
“The incredibly positive buzz surrounding the FR-S has generated an impressive list of hand-raisers and pre-sold orders,” said Scion vice president Jack Hollis. “Scion is thrilled that the FR-S is now available throughout its strong network of about 1,000 dealers. We can’t wait for performance driving enthusiasts to get into the FR-S because we know that they are going to love it!”

Authentic Sports Car at an Affordable Price
The FR-S provides the automotive landscape with an authentic sports car at an affordable price, with a MSRP of $24,200 when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, and $25,300 when equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission that features paddle shifters and Dynamic Rev Management technology.
The FR-S, which stands for Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive, Sport; comes standard with a 2.0-liter boxer engine produces an impressive 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. The flat engine is mounted extremely low, giving the car a dynamically low center of gravity comparable to some exotic supercars.

Despite the engine’s powerful 100-horsepower per liter, the FR-S has EPA-estimated ratings of 34 mpg on the highway when paired with the automatic transmission, and EPA-estimated 30 mpg with the manual transmission.

The FR-S’s lightweight design allows it to be quick and nimble into and out of corners, with dynamic maneuverability and confident handling. The FR-S’s low weight is complimented by a dynamically tuned suspension setup consisting of MacPherson struts up front and a double wishbone system in the rear.

To help bring the rear-wheel-drive design to life, the FR-S features a standard Torsen® limited-slip differential, apportioning power to the rear wheels with precision and immediacy. Lightweight 17x7-inch alloy wheels and ventilated disc brakes are standard on all four corners.

Performance-focused Interior
The FR-S’s interior includes a 2+2 seating configuration that is designed with both form and function in mind. The comfortable yet assertive front seats feature deep bolsters and are mounted extremely low, while the rear seat folds down flat, creating flexible space.

The large center-mounted tachometer is the focus of the three-gauge cluster and features a programmable shift-indicator, which has a small but intense indicator that lights up when redline is reached. The FR-S features a performance-oriented, leather-trimmed steering wheel that has both tilt and telescopic adjustment. The FR-S comes standard with an eight-speaker AM/FM/CD/USB 300-watt maximum output Pioneer™ audio system as well as HD Radio™ technology and Bluetooth® connectivity.

Warranty and Complimentary Scion Service Boost
Like all Scion models, the FR-S is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. The FR-S will come standard with Scion Service Boost, a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, and two years of 24-hour roadside assistance.
The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee for all Scion models is $730 and is not included in the MSRP.  DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.

First 25 Winners Announced for Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program

Toyota_100_cars

Toyota today announced the first 25 winners of the Toyota 100 Cars for Good program, a national philanthropic program that is awarding 100 cars to 100 nonprofits over the course of 100 consecutive days. Winners are selected each day through public voting on Facebook at www.100carsforgood.com.
Each day through August 21, five nonprofit organizations will be profiled on the 100 Cars for Good Facebook page. Registered Facebook users are able to vote once daily for the nonprofit they think can do the most good with a new vehicle. The organization with the most votes at the end of the day wins a new Toyota vehicle. The four runners-up each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
“We are delighted to announce the first 25 winners of the Toyota 100 Cars for Good program,” said Jim Lentz, president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota created the 100 Cars for Good program because we appreciate what a big difference a new car or truck can make for organizations working to improve lives and strengthen communities across America. It’s been very gratifying to put the public in the ‘driver’s seat’ to select the winning organizations. 100 Cars for Good has also allowed Toyota to build on more than half a billion dollars of support the company has provided to nonprofits throughout the United States. We wish all of this year’s finalists the best of luck.”
The first 25 100 Cars for Good winners represent a cross-section of important local causes, including providing nutritious meals to kids, helping communities struck by natural disaster and alleviating the suffering of abandoned, abused or injured animals.

Happy Monday Folks, here's our weekly car care tip: Clean dash gauges carefully.

Toyota_-_gauge

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

Use a soft damp cloth to lightly wipe dust from the clear plastic lenses on your dashboard. Too much pressure will scratch them. Too many scratches can make it difficult to read your gauges under certain lighting conditions.

Happy Monday Folks, it's time for our car care tip of the week - Clean your mats:

Carpet_cleaning_-_1

Blast mats with the hose: When washing your car, drag out the rubber or carpet floor mats and blast them with the hose. This will dislodge dirt particles that, if allowed to build up, will grind holes in your mats. Let the mats dry thoroughly in the sun before reinstalling them. For stubborn carpet or mat stains, after vacuuming floor mats or interior carpeting, apply foam rug cleaner to resistant stains as directed by the maker. Work the foam into a few square feet at a time, using a wet sponge or brush. Vacuum when dry.
